Chicana/o History. California State University, Los Angeles invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Chicana/o History to begin fall 2014; this is a joint position in Chicano Studies and History. Field of specialization is open. Candidates must be qualified to teach courses in Chicana/o History and have the ability to teach introductory courses in Chicana/o Studies and the US History survey. ABD candidates will be considered for the initial two-year appointment, and a Ph.D. from an accredited institution of higher education is required for retention. Candidates must demonstrate an ability and/or interest in working in a multi-ethnic, multicultural environment. Initial salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
