Africana Studies

Pending budgetary approval, the Africana Studies Program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for two full-time lecturer positions to begin January 1, 2014.  Teaching responsibilities include introductory survey courses in African and African American Studies.  Ph.D. (preferred) or Master's (required) in a humanities or social sciences discipline.  One-year contract with the potential for renewal.  Review of applications will begin on August 30, 2013, and continue until the position is filled.  Email a cover letter, c.v., the names of three referees, and proof of teaching experience and teaching excellence in one continuous pdf document to: Nanette Rodgers, Africana Studies Program, University of Tennessee, nrodgers@utk.edu.
