The Anthropology Field Group at Pitzer College is seeking candidates for a one-semester, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor position in sociocultural anthropology beginning January 2014. The successful candidate will teach two sections of Introduction to Sociocultural Anthropology and one section of a course in their area of specialization that will contribute to the anthropology undergraduate program at Pitzer and the Claremont Consortium. PhD degree in anthropology is preferred and required for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor, but ABD candidates in anthropology will be considered for appointment at the rank of Visiting Lecturer. Previous teaching experience is highly desirable.
