The Department of American Studies at Skidmore College, a highly selective liberal arts college in Saratoga Springs, New York, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning September 2014. Strong commitment to interdisciplinary undergraduate education and teaching experience. Ph.D. in American Studies preferred.
Teaching load of five courses a year. Candidates with at least two of the following specializations are encouraged to apply: digital/media studies, gender studies, material culture, museum studies, race/ethnic studies. Ideally, applicants should be able to teach courses that cover a broad historical range.
