Assistant Professor of Sociology
Willamette University's Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2014.
We seek candidates who can demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching with broad teaching and research interests in the area of Social Theory (classical, modern, and postmodern), and who have significant secondary training in one or both of the following areas: Crime & Deviance, and/or Environmental Sociology, approached through a critical framework. Teaching responsibilities include five courses annually. The candidate will offer some courses in her/his areas of specialization along with providing support to the department's core curriculum and the general education program.
Ph.D. required. Advanced ABD will be considered, degree must be completed by August 2014.
