Assistant Professor, Mexican History

The Department of History at New Mexico State University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professorship in the history of Mexico.   The successful candidate will be prepared to teach survey courses in Latin American history and upper-division courses on Mexico.   We are also seeking candidates interested in developing innovative courses addressing one or more of the four themes described on our Web page (http://www.nmsu.edu/~histdept/gradprog.html).  Ph.D. required by starting date, August 2014.   Send letter of application, cv., a one-page statement on teaching philosophy and experience, transcripts, and three letters of recommendation to  Dr. Margaret Malamud, Chair, History of Mexico Search Committee, Department of History, New Mexico State University, P.O.
