The History Department of Wheaton College (IL) seeks to appoint a tenure-track, assistant professor in Asian or African history beginning August 2014. Ph.D. required. Applicants should be prepared to teach both survey and upper-division courses in their field(s) of expertise; additional teaching fields are a plus. Standard teaching load is 3/3. Wheaton seeks a gifted teacher/scholar who shares the ideals of Christian liberal arts education and who can communicate a love for history to bright, motivated undergraduates. The successful candidate will have evidence of potential in teaching, research, and publication.
