History (Family History/Genealogy; Open Rank): Continuing Faculty Status track (tenure track equivalent) appointment at Brigham Young University, to begin August 2014, for a specialist in Family History with a preference for Southern US Family History. Advanced degree required by employment start date. Two types of candidates will be considered: those with a PhD in history and a professional genealogical credential (or significant genealogical experience and a willingness to qualify for the credential within the first year of employment); or those with a MA in history (or a related field with demonstrated capacity for historical thinking and writing), a professional genealogical credential, and at least ten years of professional genealogical experience. Teaching load will include family history and/or history survey courses and other courses in field of specialization.
