Modern China/Modern East Asia. The University of Oregon Department of History seeks to hire a full time Instructor in Modern Chinese/Modern East Asian History for the academic years 2013-14, renewable for a second year in 2014-15 based on job performance, funding, and departmental need. This is a non-tenure track appointment. Applicants should be able to teach survey and upper division undergraduate courses in Modern Chinese history, and potentially courses on Modern Japan or Modern East Asia. The teaching load will be two courses per term, Fall, Winter, and Spring. Applicants with Ph.D. preferred, but ABD will be also considered.
