Postdoctoral Position in Global History
The History Department at the University of Nevada, Reno, invites applications for a full-time, two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Global History to begin in the fall of 2013.
Qualifications: We encourage applications from candidates who have a PhD in the History with a Global History emphasis. Preferred areas of specialization include the history of the Middle East, India and other areas of South Asia, the Maghreb or Islamic Studies. Time period is open. Scholars whose research focuses on comparative and interdisciplinary are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have completed their PhD by June 15, 2013.
Principal responsibilities include teaching two courses per semester, advising senior theses, and working with graduate students as needed. Courses include upper-division period sequence, survey courses, other courses in areas of interest, and participation in university-wide Core Humanities course.
