Salary:$85,203 - $101,175 p.a. plus 17% superannuation
The Asia Institute promotes study of the rich languages, intellectual, cultural, social, political and religious traditions of Asia and of the Islamic world, and their contemporary manifestations. The Chinese Program is one of six programs offered by the Asia Institute and is currently seeking a Lecturer to join the academic cohort of the discipline.
In this position you will contribute to overall teaching and research excellence and curriculum development of the Chinese program. You will also bring a recognised research profile to the position and be expected to continue building research capacity in the Chinese Program and other related program areas including the Asian Studies Program.
The appointed scholar will take on appropriate academic administrative responsibilities and make a significant contribution to the intellectual life of the Asia Institute. Candidates with a track record in supervising PhD candidates to completion and attracting research funding are strongly encouraged to apply.
Employment Type: Full-Time (fixed - term) position available for 3 years
