The Department of History at St. Francis Xavier University invites applications for a nine-month, limited term position in the history of Early Modern Commercial Empires beginning September 1, 2013. This is subject to final budgetary approval. Applicants should have a PhD and show evidence of strong teaching ability. The responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to teach a full year course in Global History Since 1300, and upper-year courses in the candidate’s broad area of specialization. A secondary field in modern history is desirable.
