Research Group Leader, Global Governance in the 16th and 17th Century
The Max Planck Institute for European Legal History seeks to fill the position of a
Max-Planck Research Group Leader with the thematic focus on
„Global Governance in the 16th and 17th Century“
at the earliest possible date.

The rank of this fixed tenure is W2. The appointment of this position is for five years. In dependance on the work’s progress the tenure can be expanded appropriately after evaluation.
Applicants should have received their Ph.D. within the last five years and should not be older than 35 years. The successful candidate will lead a Research Group and cooperate with other research areas of the Institute. Funds for the set-up of the Research Group are available. The Institute offers excellent research conditions, a continuous academic exchange, a comprehensive library and the opportunity for research stays inland and abroad.
