This opening is in the Department of Natural Science and Public Health, one of two Departments of the College of Sustainability Sciences and Humanities (CSSH). The College, which also houses the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, is firmly grounded in the UAE’s determination to build a sustainable future while conserving its cultural heritage, protecting its natural environments and promoting the welfare of its citizens. The College offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in key areas that promote the study of issues related to environmental, social, cultural and economic sustainability. The majors in the College take a broad, multidisciplinary approach to identifying and addressing the complex, intertwined areas of modern society and its sustainable relationship to the natural environment. CSSH students are uniquely equipped, through research and internship experience, to understand and to work at the intersections of the scientific, technical, cultural, social, and political fields.
The Department of Natural Science and Public Health, in collaboration with the College of Education, invite applications for full-time faculty positions to support the newly established BS in Psychology and Human Services.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the joint-degree program whilst being expected to teach a range of psychology courses at undergraduate/graduate level.
- Doctorate degree in Psychology
- Well-defined and relevant research agenda and/or professional counseling or consulting experience
- Relevant teaching experience as well as active research/professional interests
- Student-centered and innovative approach to teaching
