The Department of History at The University of Scranton invites applications for a one year (renewable for a second year), non-tenure track, leave replacement in 19th Century American History, beginning Fall 2013. Primary responsibilities include teaching the United States survey, as well as the department's courses on the Civil War and the Age of Jackson. Ph.D. preferred; candidates should be able to demonstrate teaching experience and an active record of scholarly publication.
