The Department of History at Grand Valley State University invites applications for full-time Visiting (non-tenure-track) appointments for the 2013-2014 academic year, with the possibility for renewal, at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor (or at the rank of Visiting Instructor if ABD). The teaching load of four courses per semester will include surveys in World History, European History, and/or American History. Depending on the candidate's areas of expertise, course assignments could also include one or more of the following courses: Research Methods in History, History of American Foreign Relations, Topics in the History of Sport, and History of Warfare.
