Assistant Professor, Modern British History - Nine Month Limited Term Apppointment - 2013-14

Modern British History (Peterborough campus): The Department of History at Trent University invites applications for a nine month limited term position (subject to budgetary approval) at the Assistant Professor level, to start August 1, 2013. The candidate should have a completed PhD in History at the time of appointment. The Department of History combines strong research with an emphasis on high quality teaching.
The successful candidate will teach History 3200Y: Modern British History (two hour weekly lecture and 3 weekly one hour seminars) and History 4360Y: The Era of the Second World War (3 two hour weekly seminars), as well as a two week lecture unit (4 hours of lecture total) in a team-taught first year course with the theme of terror (topic of unit is up to the candidate).
