Leiden University invites applications for a fulltime, fixed-term replacement Assistant Professorship in Modern China Studies. Appointment will be for the period from August 2013 through January 2016. Requirements include a PhD degree. Applications by candidates near completion of the degree will be considered. We seek a scholar with expertise in the politics of modern and contemporary China (including the political, administrative and legal system) in both domestic and international contexts, with special attention to East Asia.
