African-American Religion
The Department of Religion at Duke University invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track/tenured position in the study of African-American religion. Candidates may specialize in any aspect of the religions and religious history of African Americans in North America. Their research interests may combine the study of religion with other fields such as philosophy, social theory, science, medicine, literature, and the arts. Candidates working on Afro-Caribbean traditions, Islam, or other aspects of African-American religious experience are especially encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will participate in Duke’s Graduate Program in Religion and may collaborate with other units at Duke University.
