The School seeks to appoint an outstanding teacher in support of a strong and well-established History program. The successful candidate will be an accomplished teacher of History and an innovative educator with excellent inter-personal skills, demonstrated organizational ability, and a passion and enthusiasm for working with adolescents. He or she will be capable of teaching South Asian, Central Asian, East Asian, or Southeast Asian History at the introductory and advanced levels and will possess expertise necessary to offer rigorous and compelling semester electives. Applicants should have a minimum of three to five years of experience teaching at the secondary or collegiate level, and a degree in a relevant subject. A master’s degree is preferred, but not required. Primary 2013-2014 responsibilities will include developing Asian History electives at the intro and advanced levels and teaching US or Early Modern Europe. Other opportunities may be available depending on the successful candidate’s interests and the School’s needs.
