The Department of Languages, which is a part of the Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences, is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor of Japanese, tenure-track, effective August 2013.

We are seeking applicants who are capable of teaching a full range of courses in Japanese literature, culture, and language. Candidate must also have a commitment to excellence in teaching and research; a strong interest in curriculum and program development; and show a willingness to participate in departmental activities and service initiatives. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The University offers a relocation expense reimbursement package as well as a homebuyer assistance program.
