The Department of History at Skidmore College invites applications for a non-tenure-track 1-year position as a visiting instructor or visiting assistant professor in Latin American history. Period and country of specialization are open. Applicants must be able to offer introductory and advanced courses in Latin American history. We welcome courses that might contribute to our interdisciplinary programs in Latin American Studies, International Affairs, Gender Studies, and Environmental Studies. Six course load.
We are especially interested in candidates from under-represented groups as well as individuals who have experience with diverse populations who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching, and/or service. Women and minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Ph.D. and teaching experience preferred, but qualified ABDs will be considered.
