Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of History beginning August 2013. Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications, up to $45,000-46,000. Degree requirement: Ph.D. by December 31, 2013.
Required qualifications: The successful candidate will be expected to teach both halves of the United States History survey, other upper division U.S. history classes, and a specialized class in Asian history or Middle Eastern history. Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates able to teach an upper division interdisciplinary social sciences class dealing with ethical and/or value issues. Responsibilities: teaching a 12 hour course load per semester, advising students, campus service, continuing research and other duties as assigned by division chair.
