Assistant Professor Political Science/Public Policy

Daemen College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Political Science/Public Policy at the rank of Assistant Professor. This is a joint appointment to the History & Government Department and Global & Local Sustainability Program beginning Fall 2013.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for teaching a range of lower/upper division courses consistent with the candidate’s area of expertise to support majors in Political Science, Sustainability, and History & Government-Environmental Studies Specialization and also be able to offer courses in support of the College’s core curriculum.
A Ph.D. in Political Science or Public Policy with specialization and research expertise in environmental studies/policy is required. Applicants must have teaching experience and the promise of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level, a commitment to innovative teaching, and the promise of active involvement in curricular and program development and department and college-wide service. Experience working with diverse student/faculty populations and evidence of an active, productive research agenda are also required.
