The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking an accomplished scholar for an appointment as a Visiting Professor to the General Mark W. Clark Distinguished Visiting Chair of History.This appointment is for one semester and possibly for a full-year appointment.We are accepting applications for the next three academic years, starting in the fall semester of 2013.
The chair holder will be expected to have a Ph.D. in History and bring to the college a distinguished record of teaching and scholarship; field of expertise is open. Duties of chair holder will include: teaching in The Citadel’s upper-division undergraduate program, its joint M.A. program with the College of Charleston, presenting public lectures, securing guest speakers, and representing the college in the community.
