Two PhD positions in post-1945 history
The Institut für Zeitgeschichte / Institute for Contemporary History in Munich-Berlin offers two PhD positions for April 2013 entry.
Salary will be 65 % TV-L E13.
The posts are open to applicants wishing to pursue doctoral research in any area of contemporary history with a focus on the era since 1945.
Applicants must have a first-class or high upper second-class honours degree (or equivalent qualification) in history. It is expected that applicants will have a relevant Masters degree with merit or distinction or be able to show evidence that they will achieve this before April 2013. Applicants should propose an innovative research project and be able to communicate in foreign languages, at least in German and English.
The positions will be integrated into the PhD program structure (ProMoHist ) of the University of Munich.
The positions are for full-time study only and applicants must be able to commence their studies in April 2013. The place of residence is Munich.
