Lectureship in Modern Economic History
The appointment will be full time on the UCL Grade. The salary range will be Grade 7: £36,064 to £39,132 per annum, Grade 8: £40,216 to £47,441 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
Applications are invited for a full-time lectureship in Modern Economic History, tenable from 1st September 2013. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding historian working on any major area of economic history from 1850. Our preference is for someone who will bring new research interests to complement our current expertise. The post-holder will be expected to research and publish material of the highest quality; to offer inspiring teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and to play a full part in the life of the History Department.
Applicants must have a doctorate in modern economic history; a competitive record of research publications; an imaginative and well-conceived post-doctoral research project that complements our current expertise; experience of teaching in a university History department, preferably at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and a demonstrable commitment to academic citizenship.
