The Israel and Golda Koschitzky Department of Jewish History at Bar-Ilan University in Ramat-Gan (Israel) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Syrian-Lebanese Jewish History, at the rank of Lecturer (martzeh), to start fall 2013. Deadline for application: January 8, 2013.
The successful candidate will have Ph.D. in hand at the time of application; expertise in early modern or modern Syrian-Lebanese Jewish history; a record of scholarly publication in the field; working knowledge of Hebrew, Arabic and French, and the ability to teach in Hebrew.
