The Department of History at Vassar College invites applications for a two-year Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in East Asian History beginning August 2013. Specialization in Chinese history is required with an ability to teach both Chinese and Japanese history. Appointment includes teaching in Vassar's Program in Asian Studies; broader interest in multidisciplinary teaching is welcome. Teaching load in each year is three courses. PhD required and teaching experience strongly preferred. Interviews of selected candidates will be conducted on campus.
