Assistant Professor (Judaic Studies)

A growing department of religious studies in the metropolitan campus of the state university, the Religion Program of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) is seeking applications for a specialist in Judaic Studies. The successful applicant will demonstrate training and/or ability to teach our Introduction to World Religions (freshman survey), Hebrew Bible (sophomore level), and other courses in Judaic studies (upper division). He or she will have the opportunity to help shape the curriculum of our department by revising and developing courses, to maintain an active research and publication agenda, and to participate in a variety of program events and priorities, including opportunities within UNO and the larger community.

Applicants must have a PhD in Religious Studies or a cognate field, a working knowledge of Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic, and evidence of an active research agenda (e.g., academic publications) in some branch of Judaic studies.
