The Department of History at Carroll College seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Modern American history with secondary fields in either East Asian history or Latin American history beginning in August of 2013. Applicants should be prepared to teach the US history survey, a course in East Asian or Latin American history, upper-division courses in their field, and historiography. The successful candidate will show evidence of a dedication to teaching, a plan for continued scholarship, collegiality, and a commitment to service. A PhD in history is preferred by August of 2013. Review of applications will begin by January 15, 2013.
