The Delta College Program and Department of Theatre and Music Studies at the College of Brockport invite applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor beginning in August of 2013. This is a three-year, non-tenure track position with the possibility of renewal. We seek someone who has experience and interest in teaching music as part of a college liberal arts curriculum. A terminal degree in Music, at least one year of college-level teaching experience, desire and ability to participate in interdisciplinary and team-taught courses, and the ability to work with culturally diverse populations are required. We also seek candidates with experience in directing vocal or instrumental ensembles, in mentoring and advising students, and in developing online courses. The successful applicant will be expetected to perform service to the two departments and teach four courses per semester, two in the Delta College Program and two music courses in the Department of Theatre and Music Studies.
