Stetson University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Latin American History. Candidates at the rank of Associate Professor may be considered. Candidates with expertise in colonial, transnational, and inter-ethnic history, including the history of the Atlantic World and/or Africana Studies, are encouraged to apply.
Ph.D. in history with an active scholarly agenda and demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduates in both general and specialized areas of history.
The successful candidate will offer both lower and upperdivision courses in their area of expertise, while participating in our vibrant Latin American Studies, Africana Studies, and General Education Programs, including First-Year and Junior Seminars. DeLand is a picturesque residential community of 25,000 located 20 miles west of Daytona Beach and 35 miles northeast of Orlando. The area offers extensive cultural as well as recreational activities.
Salary is competitive.
