Stetson University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Russian and Eastern European History. Candidates with expertise in transnational and inter-ethnic history, including Eurasian and/or Jewish Studies, are encouraged to apply.
Ph.D. in history with an active scholarly agenda and demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduates in both general and specialized areas of history.
The successful candidate will offer both lower and upperdivision courses in their area of expertise, while participating in our vibrant Russian Studies, International Studies, and General Education Programs, including First-Year and Junior Seminars. Stetson’s History Department (http://www.stetson.edu/other/academics/programs/history.php) takes a rigorous, interdisciplinary approach to undergraduate liberal arts education. Our faculty are also committed scholars with strong publication records and a broad range of international and linguistic expertise.

DeLand is a picturesque residential community of 25,000 located 20 miles west of Daytona Beach and 35 miles northeast of Orlando. The area offers extensive cultural as well as recreational activities.
Salary is competitive.
