The Science, Technology, and Society Program at Colby College invites applications for a one-year position as a faculty fellow for the academic year 2013-14. Colby is a leading liberal arts college offering an undergraduate major and minor in STS.
Candidates must have advanced training (Ph.D preferred) in one or more of such STS-related fields as history, philosophy, anthropology, and/or sociology of science and technology. Duties include teaching four courses—an introduction to STS, a two-semester senior seminar, and an elective course—and participating in STS Program activities. Opportunities abound at Colby for scholarly collaboration and cultural enrichment across the entire curriculum. Waterville is 80 miles from Portland and about 180 miles from Boston. The natural environment is stunning in central Maine.
