Assistant Professor of History/History Education and Social Science Education. This tenure track position is available starting in the 2013-2014 academic year. ABD from an accredited institution in History, Social Science Education, or a closely related field required. PhD is preferred. Research fields open. Must be eligible for secondary social science licensure or methods licensure in North Carolina. Duties include assisting with the administration of the social science education program, advising social science education students, representing the program on various committees, supervising student interns, and teaching undergraduate courses. All full-time faculty in our growing department teach freshman/sophomore level liberal studies courses, upper-level/graduate courses, and play significant roles in implementing the university’s new Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).
