HISTORY OF SCIENCE. The Department of History at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in the field of History of Science with a concentration in Global or World History. The successful candidate will teach a 4/4 load comprised of two or three preparations consisting of a combination of the World History survey and additional courses in his or her area of specialization. Preferred areas of expertise include the social history of technology, medicine, and/or environment. Applicants who can teach courses on African history will be preferred. The department values strong communication skills, a commitment to undergraduate education, and awareness of the importance of diversity in education. A completed Ph.D. in history is preferred for appointment and is required for retention and tenure. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
