The Department of History at Albright College invites applications for a tenure-track position in European Medieval and Renaissance history, specialization and period open, to begin August 2013. A Ph.D. is required by the start of the appointment. Evidence of scholarly promise and dedication to service activities, the versatility to offer courses beyond the field of specialization and, above all a commitment to effective undergraduate teaching in a residential liberal arts college will be taken into consideration. A teaching load of three courses per semester will include survey and upper level courses for both general studies students and a growing number of history majors, a first-year seminar or interdisciplinary collaboration.
