The Department of History at Ohio State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure-eligible) in Modern U.S. Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality History. Candidates with specializations in any chronological era are welcome to apply. We will prefer applicants who specialize in the history of sexuality and/or the history of social movements. The successful hire will be expected to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration with the thematic constellations of the History Department and with such units as the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and the Sexuality Studies Program.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold the Ph.D. at time of appointment and must demonstrate an actual or potential record of sustained publication commensurate with the expectations at a major research university.The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in both women’s, gender, and sexuality history and in general U.S. history in the era of her/his specialty.
