Europe in the Long Eighteenth Century
The Department of History at Boston College invites applications for an historian of Europe (either Continental or British) in the long eighteenth century, c. 1688–1815. The appointment will be tenure-track and at the rank of assistant professor. The successful candidate will be expected to offer broad and specialized courses in European history at the undergraduate and graduate levels and to participate in the History Core Program. Ph.D. required by August 2013. Please submit a letter of application, CV, an article-length writing sample, and at least three letters of reference.
