The Department of History at the University of Rochester invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in the history of late medieval/early modern Europe. In accordance with our new emphasis on global and transnational history, we are particularly interested in candidates whose work incorporates broad perspectives (chronological, geographical, or otherwise).
The department has an internationally recognized Ph.D. program with strengths in many fields, including British, German and Russian history, the Enlightenment, and medieval France and England. We are expanding and transforming our graduate and undergraduate programs in the direction of global and transnational history.
