Announcement of new position – Bar-Ilan University
The Jewish History Department of Bar-Ilan University invites applicants for a new position in Polish Jewish History (tenure track, subject to all procedures of the university). The appointment will be from the first semester of the academic year 5774 (fall semester 2013). The appointment and rank will be junior or mid-level (lecturer [martzeh] or senior lecturer [martzeh bakhir]), depending on seniority, record of publications, and according to the policies of the university.
The successful candidate will have training and expertise in Early Modern or Modern Polish Jewish History, an established scholarly record of publications in the field, and proven experience as an effective teacher.
PhD must be in hand by the time of application.
Ability to teach in Hebrew an absolute must.
