Union College (Schenectady, New York) invites applications for a tenure-track position in the history of South Asia, beginning in September 2013. Research specialty may be in any area of South Asian history from the Indus civilizations to the present. Teaching must include a “sophomore research seminar.” http://www.union.edu/offices/gen-ed/building-foundations/srs/index.php#srs and the following courses: women’s and gender history, surveys of South Asia, and world history. Contributions to other interdisciplinary programs such as religious studies, environmental studies, or film studies would be welcome.
