The University of Georgia History Department invites applications for a one-year assistant professorship in Middle Eastern history, from August 2012 to May 2013. This temporary position entails teaching 2/2 courses, including upper division undergraduate courses in medieval and/or modern Middle Eastern history. Candidates must have a PhD at the time of appointment and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and research. The salary is $40,000, and we invite applications from post-doctoral fellows.
