Position in Early Modern History History
The Department of History at Tel-Aviv University, Israel, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Early Modern European history, effective from October 2013.
The position is open to candidates with a PhD degree or candidates who would be awarded this degree before assuming their appointment. The position requires teaching in Hebrew and the ability to conduct independent research in the history of Europe in the early modern period.
Salary and conditions will conform to Israeli University regulations. Appointment procedures will be carried out according to the rules and regulations of Tel-Aviv University and are subject to the approval of University authorities. Rank will be determined in accordance with the candidate's record of achievement.
Candidates should send their applications, including a CV and samples of publications or other written work, and also arrange for three letters of recommendation from senior scholars to be sent directly to Professor Gadi Algazi, Head, Department of History, Tel-Aviv University, Tel-Aviv 69978, Israel, by July 22, 2012.
