The División de Historia at CIDE invites applications for a tenure track assistant professorship in comparative history to begin in August 2012. Candidates should have a research project with transnational or comparative approaches to post Civil War U. S. History. Candidates should already hold a Ph.D. degree, show outstanding research potential, have classroom experience, be prepared to teach Master’s-level courses and make interdisciplinary contributions to a Master’s program in International History. The normal teaching load at CIDE is one course per semester. A commitment to achieve reasonable fluency in Spanish before the third year evaluation is required.
