Full time, tenure track position as Assistant Professor of History in the field of Asian history; position to begin in Fall, 2012. The successful applicant will teach four courses per semester--two in World Civilization and two courses in the candidates area of specialty. Applicants who specialize in either pre-modern or modern periods and who engage in transnational themes are welcome.
Applicants should have a strong research background and teaching experience with the ability to engage students in a liberal arts environment. ABD in Asian History may apply but Ph.D should be completed by the time employment begins. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Asian History.
