The Bowdoin College History Department invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor position in 20th century United States history to begin Fall 2012. Candidates who focus on labor, Southern and/or Progressive Era/New Deal history are especially encouraged to apply. Ph.D. in hand by date of appointment preferred; advanced ABDs considered. The successful candidate will teach two courses per semester, advise students, and supervise independent studies in modern United States history.
