The History Department at Gettysburg College invites applications for a one-year replacement position for the 2012-13 academic year at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor, to begin August 2012. Teaching responsibilities include contributing to the department’s 100-level World History courses and upper-division courses in modern U.S. history, particularly in American urban, immigration, or gender history. The PhD degree and previous teaching experience are preferred. Review of applications will begin on March 12, 2012, and continue until the position is filled.
