The Department of History at the University of Calgary invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of Spanish American history. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Latin American history, contribute to the Latin American Studies Program, and maintain an active program of research in the field. Responsibilities will include the supervision of graduate students. Contributions to departmental, faculty and university service, as well as service to the profession are also expected.
The position will commence on July 1, 2012. The minimum qualifications are a doctorate in history by the time of appointment, evidence of scholarly potential, and proof of effective teaching.
